Sometimes I like to go watch basketball for sekondari skools around my area. Na one of de ways I dey use pass time for hia. When pessin no get anytin to do for friday, I go just go chill for one of dis games. Sports hia na big past time. Every skool get at least one type of sports wey dem dey play.
And home games dey big like mini carnival for dos wey dey live around de skool. Na do everywhere go dey bubble. Dos wey don gradge for de skool go come watch de game. Some people dey travel from long distance just to come watch dem former skool basketball or football games. And crowd dey plenti pass for de football games.
Parents, uncles, anties, grandpapa and grandmamma dey use de opportunity go watch dem pikin as dem dey play. Na for de game you jam different types of supporters club. Most of dis students relations just no know how to behave dem sef during de games.
I attend one of dis game last week friday. Before de game finish, police don arrest like seven different people wey no fit control dem sef. Dis na de players dem papa or mama wey police dey arrest for wetin police dey call 'unruly behavior'. I no even fit stay till de end of de game before I jeje find my way, before pessin use vex break my head.
Before every game, de home skool must provide security. De local police for de area get to come for de game to provide de skool with security incase sometin happen! And fans from both skools must sidon for different sides of de stands. No mixing during de game. All dis one na to minimize tension.
But dat day none of dis precautions stop de fight wey happen. Wetin cause de fight na say de away skool dey play too rough, but de refree no dey punish dem as im suppose. Come see as de home team dey yab de refree and lines men, lol. No be small tin dat day. If any player fall, you go see as de player mumsi go run enter de court to go see wetin dey happen to her pikin.
Before de second quarter finish, police don ask some people to comot from de skool compound kpatakpata. Screaming and yelling just dey fly from both fans. Na wa oo! People dey carry skool sports for head like say na do or die affair. Parents go dey hala dem children if dem no play well. I don even hia tory where parents go beat dem pikin anytime wey dem loose any match.
De tin just tire me. No be say dem dey pay dis children any money, but dis adults dey hia dey kill dem sef for ordinary basketball or football game. All dis parents wey just dey look for excuse to pour dia frustration for anaoda pessin body, no see where dem fit go do am, but for dia pikin games? Na wa for parenting oo!!
