And I say tolotolo dey trouble today because na de "official" meat wey everybody dey cook today (chicken and cow and pig get to rest small for at least 24hrs!). But ee get one special tolotolo wey go get "presidential pardon" today. Ee get tradition for white house where de presido go officially pardon one turkey, and nobody go kill am for chop.
Dis thanksgiving tin na really far back sometin. Ee been start with de first people wey come from Europe to settle for yankee. Afta dem don harvest dem crops and come find out say de land dey very good well well, dem come decide to thank God for de good harvest wey God give dem (ee dey like de new yam festival wey we dey do for Igbo land). And de meat wey come get "bad luck" come be tolotolo, lol.
Me I come hia about de celebration for de first time afta I enter de country. Na one celebration wey I gree join dem to celebrate. Aftarall, na who no get sometin to tank God about? Me I get plenty tins to tank God about oo, like:
- Good health: Medical bill hia no be small tin oo. I tank God say nothing carry me go hospital dis year
- Job: Dat one na sure thanksgiving mata. How you wan take survive for hia without work. Na you and bills go tie one wrapper if you no get work for hia
- My people for Naija still dey fine. Everybody dey healthy.
- Naija kick Ebola comot oo, lol! Dat na serious victory for us oo! With de way wey we dey over crowd awa sef, ebola for just carry us shine well well.
- All my people for yankee dey fine. My bros marry and born pikin dis year. Na my turn dem dey wait sha, lol.
- We no dey go nations cup. Yes oo, I know say some go vex for dis one. But at least all dos jokers for NFF and de coach and players fit go sidon one side, instead of to dey give us headache with dem drama everyday.
