EE GET AS DIS ONE BE

One of my guys marry yesterday. Him don dey plan for de wedding for sometime now. But de tin be say de marriage get as ee be. Dis one no be de usual marriage wey two people wey love dem sef decide to do.

Dem plan am BUT both of dem know say no be true true marriage dem wan do. My guy wan arrange him “papers”. I know say dis one no be new tin to most people. Ee dey very common among people wey travel come yankee. For here, once you marry citizen, you go get automatic green card.

So dis one dey make guys (and sometimes babes) to go do dis arrangee marriage tin so dat dem no go deport dem. Life dey hard for here if you no get correct papers. You no fit find work, you no fit get drivers license, you no even fit rent house for some places. De tin hard well well.

Na so you go see as guys dey arrange marriage with women wey fit be dem mama age or women wey don born finish but still tink say dem don find true love with “dis African prince’ wey decide to marry her even with her four children from different fathers. But some guys go just dey very direct with de babe, and tell her say him go pay her.

And make God helep you say you go de marriage registry and you no fit answer simple quesions wey dem ask you. like where una meet OR personal quesions about ya partner wey you suppose know. If dem try find out say na fake marriage, na double wahala for you and de babe. Na im make before dem go dia, dem go take time do rehearsal like say na exam dem dey go write.

But all dis one wey I don dey talk since na just “by de way”. Wetin dey really worry me na why ee be say with all de Naija babes wey full everywhere for here, Naija guys still dey do arrangee marriage?  Single Naija babes wey get papers and dey look for husband and yet awa guys still dey go de oda way. If you go any Naija occasion, na so singles full everywhere and “nothing dey happen”. Everybody dey stay for dia own lane.

Abi na de Naija parents wey don born children for here, and dey look for marriage partners up and down for dem children! I no understand dis one. Hello……., abi ee get wetin I no know about dis situation? I wan person wey know to explain dis one to me.

And den de one wey I believe wey dey even more serious na all de children wey awa naija guys don born with akata and onyibo women. Most of dem don abandon dem pikin. Dis one no be joke oo! Most children wey get Naija fathers no know anytin about where dem papa come from or who him family members be. Dis na because dis guys dey start with lies, and when pikin don dey involved and dem don divorcede mother, to change dem lies come dey very hard.

All dis children dey always tink say dem papa come from Lagos, and say dem papa escape war for Naija. Na wa for awa brodas oo! Dis one take style tire me! I no fit shout. De only tin I fit talk be say dis behavior dey wrong for every level. We dey lose awa identity fast fast with dis kind of behavior. We all know wetin be de right tin to do…., and so make we begin do am!!!!
