RACISM REACH FOR BURIAL GROUND

Nothing dey jolly about tory wey concern burial ground. Na place wey everybody know say na dem final destination, but nobody wan really talk about am. But ee get some people wey get enough liver to talk about am.

In fact, I don jam people wey don make arrangement about dem own burial. Even sef, dem don buy plot of land and build dem own grave. I don see family wey don buy space or burial ground and come share space for every member of dem family!

For my village, if pessin die, na for im family compound dem go bury am. Some dey even bury inside house. Like when my granpapa die (I no meet am sha), dem bury am inside him room. De same tin too happen when dem bury my popsi mama.



I know say for some parts of Naija, dem dey bury for de community burial ground. And na dis same culture wey I come notice for yankee. Every town (no mata house small wey ee be) get dem own burial ground.

Burial for here get as ee be. You must first go buy burial ground space and mark am with ya name so dat person no go drag am with you (or with ya family, aftarall you no fit drag burial ground when you dey inside mortuary). So dis one dey make family to dey buy space and share am among dem sef.

Anoda tin wey come surprise me na say most of dis burial ground be either "whites only" or "blacks only". One of my friends wey I been escort to go put fresh flowers for her grandmama tomb tell me dis one. Come see de kind of shock wey been dey my face afta she tell me dis one! So racism reach for grave yard too!!

Now tins don change for most places. Everybody fit bury for where dem like. But if you look well, you go still see say dem still get different sections for inside de same burial ground.

Even dos days wey dem get different burial grounds, if you mistake go bury ya pessin for de wrong place, govment go tell you to go dig ya pessin and transfer am to de correct burial ground. Chai, na wa oo!

Dis one come make me dey tink (as usual)! De number one religion for dis yankee na CHRISTIANITY. And de religion say every good pessin go enter heaven. And my quesion for de people wey decide to bring de law for different burial ground be- Weda dem get "whites only heaven" and "black only heaven"? Or weda dem get "whites only hell" and "black only hell"?

If anybody get de answer to my quesions, make im let me know. But meanwhile, tank God say dem don stop to segregate for BURIAL GROUND!
